Proposed AI camera and drone plan for the Óc Eo – Ba Thê heritage site
This is a proposal, not a confirmed deployment outcome. Expected results include improved event detection and verification, less reliance on streaming all video to the center and support for patrols in priority areas. The preliminary estimate and timeline are discussion inputs; configuration, cost and schedule require a site survey, approval and quotations.

Challenge
The Óc Eo – Ba Thê Special National Monument spans about 433 hectares, with archaeological locations spread across the site. Priority risks include nighttime excavation, vandalism, dry-season fires, animal intrusion and artifact protection; fixed cameras also need support across large or hard-to-reach areas.
Solution
The proposed three-layer design combines about 200 IP cameras, NVIDIA Jetson Edge AI Box clusters for local processing and a central VMS with maps, dashboards and alerts. Algorithms are grouped into packages; DJI Dock 2 and Matrice 3TD would complement patrols, thermal observation and controlled event verification.
